Clarence Taylor;80;of 121 Krolic Ave.;Arnold City;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;Sept.30;1980;at 6:10 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital after a sudden illness. Mr.Taylor was born Oct.5;1899;in Henderson;Ky.;a son of the late Louis and Betty Harris Taylor. He was a retired employee of U.S.Steel Corporation’s Claiton Works. Mr.Taylor was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon. Survivors include his wife;Lennis Randall Taylor;at home;a step-son;Monroe Young of Pittsburgh;a step-daughter;Treva Sumpler Young of Belle Vernon;three sisters;Rooster Isidora and Mary Reden;both of New York City;N.Y.;and Florence Evana of Henderson;Ky.;and three step-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev.Luther N.Wormack;pastor;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
