Obituary

Clarence M. Echard,71,of 404 Perry Ave.,Fairhope, Belle Vernon,died Saturday Jan. 29,1972 at 5 p.m. in Brownsville General Hospital.   Born Oct. 8,1900,in Dawson, he was the son of the late Thomas and Charlotte Patterson Echard. Mr. Echard was a retired coal miner and was a member of Local 7107 of the United Mineworkers of America.  He also was a member of the Church of the Nazarene,Belle Vernon. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Erma Makepeace Echard,one son, Ronald Lee Echard,serving with the U.S. Army at Fort Dix, N.J., four daughters, Mrs. Lene Mavrikas of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Ramona Colucci of Pineville, W.Va.,Mrs. June Smith of Baltimore, Md.,and Mrs. Carol Tomasi of Honeybrook, two sisters, Mrs. Edith Miller of Lawrence and Mrs. Maude Hough of Claysville and 11 grandchildren. Friends are being received in the Howard w. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,where services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 1,1972,at 1:30 p.m.in charge of the Rev. Garnet Ackinclose,pastor of the Church of the Nazarene,Belle Vernon.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Howard W. McCrory,funeral director.
