Clarence E. Stump,47,of Route 51,Rostraver Township,died Thursday,Aug. 5,1954,in the West Penn Hospital,following an illness of two months. He was born in East Liverpool,Ohio,on April 23,1907 and lived in Westmoreland County for 17 years. He owned and operated the Stump Farm Market and was a first helper in the open hearth department of the American Steel and Wire Co.,Donora. He was also a member of the Baptist Church,Donora,where he was president of the board of trustees. He was graduated from Donora High School in 1927,where he was active in athletics and was named guard on the first All Big Six football team in 1925. He is survived by his wife,Mrs. Mary R. Stump;one son,James;two daughters,Jane and Joan,at home;his father,Hallie Stump;one brother,John,Belle Vernon;seven sisters, Mrs. Jeannette McFall,Chicago;Mrs. Laura Marshall,Washington;Mrs. Evelyn Bush,Mrs. Norma Lillico and Mrs. Lillian Bates,Donora;Mrs. Mary Whatley,Munhall and Mrs. Myrtle McCulloch,Martins Ferry, Ohio. Friends are being received at the James A. Rabe funeral home in Donora,where funeral services will be held Monday,Aug. 9,at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev. R.A. Unger of the Baptist Church,Donora,with interment in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. Bebout and Yohe Company,funeral directors.
