Clarence Culbertson,96,of Charleroi, died Monday, May 3,1999,in Monongahela Valley Hospital,Carroll Township. He was born Dec. 23,1902,in North Charleroi,the son of the late Charles and Rena Lovejoy Culbertson. Mr. Culbertson was a charter member of the Charleroi Boat Club and a charter member of the Charleroi Belgium Club. He was retired from Corning Glass Works, Charleroi Plant. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law,Helen and Al Ferrara of Charleroi; a brother,Raymond Culbertson of Charleroi;three grandchildren,Gary Greco,Kenny Culbertson and Barbara Fazzini; seven great-grandchildren,Megan Culbertson,Patricia Culbertson,Lauren Greco, Cheryl DeStefon, Christen Frye,Joshua Golumb and Patrick Fazzini. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,Marie Blaho Culbertson,who died July 31,1989 and a son,Walter Culbertson. Friends will be received Wedesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc.,226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.,in the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Bailey of the First United Methodist Church of Charleroi officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
