Obituary

Clarence B.Hoffman Sr.,71,of Belle Vernon R.D.3,died Sunday,Feb.1,1970,at 5:10 p.m.in Westmoreland Hospital,Greensburg. Born in Washington Twp.on Dec.31,1898,he was a son of the late George B.and Lydia Guiler Hoffman. Mr.Hoffman was a retired coal miner and a member of Harmony Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his widow,Bessie Hoffman,three sons,Clarence Jr.,David and Ray,and three daughters,Mrs.Ann Novak,Mrs.Mae Williams,and Mrs.Virginia Andrako,all of Belle Vernon R.D.3,a brother,George W.of Belle Vernon R.D.2,two sisters,Mrs.Mary Stopford and Mrs.Vera Schmidt of Belle Vernon,17 grandchildren. Friends will be received at James C.Stump Funeral Home,Sweency Plan,Belle Vernon R.D.2,after 7 p.m.,Feb.2. Service there Wednesday,Feb.4,at 2 p.m.with the Rev.Donald Difley,pastor of Harmony Presbyterian Church,officiating. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery. James C.Stump,funeral director.
