Clara Prentice,89,of 101 Lookout Ave.,Charleroi,died Thursday, Aug. 19,1971 at 2:35 p.m. at her home. She was born in Fayette City,a daughter of the late William and Hannah Mitchell Gilmer. She was a member of the United Methodist Church,Charleroi. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, four sons and two daughters. Surviving are the following daughters, Anna Gray,Georgina Hixson and Gladys Hurley,all of Charleroi,Marion Dimascio of Van Nuys, Calif.,and Marie Saunders of North Charleroi; sons, Harry and Eugene of Charleroi,Dan of Okmulgee, Okla.,and Dave of Welston,Ohio; a sister, Mary Stathers of Haelton,Pa.; 28 grandchildren;65 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great- grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 12 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Harold L. Schrock Funeral Home,Charleroi, where a service will be held Monday,Aug. 23 at 1:30 p.m. the Rev. Robert Laing,pastor of the United Methodist Church of Charleroi,officiating.
