OLDEST CHILD OF JOHN S.& MARGARET EWIG 2ND WIFE OF ALVEY HAMILTON SPENT 15 YEARS CARING FOR HER DAUGHTER VIRGINIA DURING VIRGINIA’S PROGRESSIVE PHYSICAL FAILURE.
Mrs. Clara E. Hamilton,widow of Alvey H. Hamilton,formerly of Belle Vernon,who has been living with her sister, Mrs. Belle E. Digman of 305 Fourth avenue,New Kensingotn,died in Citizen's General Hospital,New Kensington,Monday,November 12,1956,at 12:30 p.m. Mrs. Hamilton was a member of the Roscoe's Methodist Church,a charter member of the Belle Vernon Chapter,O.E.S.,196,and Arabelle Court,O.of A.,No. 30. She is survived by one brother,Harry T. Ewig of Cleveland,Ohio,three sisters,Mrs. Belle E. Digman of New Kensington,Mrs. Virginia E. Wilkens and Mrs. Blanche E.Estep of New Kensington,and one grandson,Alvey R. Rusinton of Wheeling,West Virginia. Friends will be received at the late home Tuesday night, November 13 and all day Wednesday,November 14. Services will be held there Wednesday,November 14,1956,at 8 p.m.,and interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery,Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Rev. Curtis K. Jones will be in charge. Ronald Hankey is the funeral director.
