Obituary

Clara D. Tonarelli, 92, of North Belle Vernon, died peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. Born July 10, 1922, in Watertown, MA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Linda Paglia. Clara was a longtime resident of Belle Vernon, member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and member and former officer of the Annita Garibaldi Society. Clara loved working and talking with customers at the Hallmark card shop where she worked for 25 years. Her most important job, the one that gave her the greatest pleasure, was being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She always had time to attend all her grandchildren',s activities, sometimes traveling as far as Myrtle Beach. Clara is survived by her three daughters, Gerry Tonarelli, with whom she resided, Tina and Earl Morrison of Scottdale, and Elaine and Rich Duggan of Cranberry Twp. Also missing her are her beloved grandchildren, Amy (Morrison) and Shawn Marn and their son Owen, Emily Morrison, Dom and Kim-Marie Duggan, Zach Duggan and Alyssa Adrian, Katie Duggan and Joe Duggan. Clara also leaves behind cherished nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Dominick ",Babe", Tonarelli, brother and sister-in-law, Bruno and Diva Paglia of Boston, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John and Norma Tonarelli, Geno and Mary Tonarelli, Anthony Tonarelli, all of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. The rosary will be prayed in the funeral home Friday at 3 P.M. led by members of St. Sebastian Parish followed by an Annita Garibaldi Service at 3:15 P.M. A blessing service will be in the funeral home Saturday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a 9:30 A.M. funeral mass in St. Sebastian R.C. Church with Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
