Clara C. Davenport,79,of 107 Wood St.,Belle Vernon,died Thursday, Jan. 25,1996,at 3 p.m. at home. She was born in Pricedale on June 30,1916, a daughter of the late John and Clara Drotos Nagy. Mrs. Davenport was a member of the First Untied Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. She was a lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area. She had been employed by the former American Window Glass Company of Belle Vernon. In later years she had worked as a short order cook at the J.I.B. Restaurant in Charleroi. Surviving are a brother, Joseph Nagy of Monessen; two sisters, Ann Berlin of Laguna Beach, Calif. and Helen Fekete of Cleveland,Ohio and three step-children, Carol Hayduk of Belle Vernon, Albert Davenport of Denver, Colo and Robert Davenport of Charleston, W.Va. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her hsuband, Daniel A. Davenport on March 4,1979. Friends will be received in the Ferguson Funeral Home,Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at noon with the Rev. Dr. Thomas St. Clair of the First United Methodist Church, Belle Vernon, officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
