Clair E.Anderson of 1031 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;July 27;1986;at 7:30 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 86. Mr.Anderson was born Oct.27;1899;in Sewickley Township;a son of the late William and Elizabeth Wilson Anderson. He attended Pricedale Union Church. Mr. Anderson and his wife;the former Mary Miller;had celebrated 59 years of marriage on July 21;1986. A resident of Belle Vernon for 75 years;he retired in 1954 from the Somers Mine in Pricedale;and worked for Admiral Homes from 1956 to 1965. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers;Arnold;Percy and Bernard;and by a sister;Jessie Williams. He is survived by his wife;Mary Miller Anderson;a brother;John Anderson of Belle Vernon;and several nieces and nephews.Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Wednesday;July 30;at 10 a.m.with the Rev. David Reeves;pastor of the Pricedale Union Church;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of arrangements.
