Ciro Antonucci; 80; of North Belle Vernon; died Thursday; July 22; 2004; in UPMC-Mercy; Pittsburgh. A son of the late Cosimo and Divina Santoro Antonucci; he was born in Italy on March 3; 1924. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; American Legion Post 659; both of Belle Vernon; and a life member of Charleroi VFW Post 167. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II; he had resided in Belle Vernon for over 58 years and retired in the mid-80’s from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Carme1a Antonucci Smith and Steven R. Smith of Oklahoma City; Okla.; three grandchildren; Lisa Marie Clark of Oklahoma City; Kathie Parker of Scottsdale; Ariz.; and Nicolle Pearl of Los Angeles; Calif.; one great-granddaughter; Kristina Marie Clark of Oklahoma City; four sisters; Lena Byrne of Coal Center; Sylvia Swamp of New Stanton; Matilda Cyanovich of Scenery Hill and Carmella Washlack of Fallowfield Township; two brothers; Cosimo Antonucci Jr. of Charleroi and Louis Antonucci of Belle Vernon; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; Rosemarie Cefala Antonucci on Jan. 1; 1982; one granddaughter; Tama Michele Smith; and two sisters; Doris Allen and Maria Blassio. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE; (724-929-5300); a Golden Rule Member Firm; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. A blessing service will be in the funeral home Tuesday; July 27; at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Sebastian R.C. Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. American Legion Post 659 will hold services Sunday at 7 p.m.; the rosary will be prayed; led by members of St. Sebastian Parish Monday at 3 p.m.; and VFW Post 167 will hold services Monday at 7:30 p.m.; all in the funeral home.
