Christine Cheryl Sims Freshwater,died Friday,May 30,2008,in her Florida home,following a legthy battle with cancer. She was born October 9,1947,a daughter of Paul and Rosemarie Sims of Marianna. She grew up showing horses around the country and loved garage sales,hummingbirds and the fruits of life that were given to her. Mrs. Freshwater was a member of Round Lake Christian Church in Mount Dora,Fla.,and was active in Relay for Life activities. She became family friends with the gospel singing groups Pfiefers and Promise. She was employed at AAA headquarters in Florida. In 1968,she married Bevan Freshwater,who survives. Surviving,in addition to her parents and husband,are her sister,Paula;a brother,David;nieces Danielle and April;nephews David and Nick;two aunts,Ann Kresak and Stella Albright;and six great-nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday,June 28,in California Christian Church,Malden Road,California,with the Rev. Norman Hunt officiating. In lieu of flowers,donations may be made to American Cancer Society of Round Lake Christian Church,Mount Dora, Florida.
