Obituary

Chester P.Hotz,55,of 14 Keystone Drive,Monessen,died suddenly Sunday evening,July 13,1975,while on his way home from work. Mr.Hotz was employed as a supervisor for the Isaly Dairy Co. He was born April 15,1920,in Duquesne,and had reided in Monessen for the past 25 years. Mr.Hotz formerly managed the Charleroi Isaly store for many years. He served overseas in the U.S.Army during World War II. He was active for many years in the Monessen Midget Football League and the Bronco League. Mr.Hotz was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Charleroi. Surviving are his widow,Edna Booth Hotz,one son,Thomas W.Hotz of Speers,one daughter,Mrs.Gary (Patricia) Caruso of Belle Vernon,two brothers,Herman Hotz of Roscoe and Donald Hotz of Columbus,Ohio,and four grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,Monessen,from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.in the chapel of the funeral home with Dr.S.Arthur Talman,pastor of First Presbyterian Church,Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial conributions may be made to the Heart Fund or Cancer Society. Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,in charge of arrangements.
