Obituary

Chester Arthur Lambert,76,of Belle Vernon Apartments,died in the Mon Valley Hospital at 5:30 a.m.saturday,Sept. 22,1979.  He was born in Arnold City,Pa.,on Aug. 6,1903,the son of the late Charles and Sarah Breakwell Lambert.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gordon and William. Mr. Lambert was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon.  He was a retired welder for the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co.,Monessen plant,retiring in 1966.  He was the past vice-president of Local 1229. Survivors include his wife,Mary Kwolek Lambert;two brothers,Edwin B. Lambert,Belle Vernon,and Harold B. Lambert,Carroll Township;two sisters,Mrs. J. Robert (Jessie) Flannigan,Aliquippa,and Mrs. David P. ( Mary Jane) Scholl,Belle Vernon;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at 7 p.m. on Saturday,and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday at the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon.  Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Charles D. LaPlaca of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
