Chessie E. Hicks,72,of Fayette City, died Wednesday,Aug. 23,1961 at 6:40 a.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. He was born in Pennsylvania on Feb. 28,1889. He was a member of Fayette City Methodist Church and a retired steel worker from Allenport Plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. He is survived by his widow, Louise; three daughters, Mrs. George (Myrella) Driesen, Mrs. Wendell (Edith) Carlson and Mrs. Joseph (Rhoda) Miller of Belle Vernon. Seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive along with one brother, Harry Hicks of Fayette City. Friends are being received at the McCrory Funeral Home in Fayette City. Funeral services will be held there on Saturday,at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lester Hillegas of the Fayette City Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. George M.
