Obituary

Pretty blue-eyed Charmaine Moran, aged 4,of nearby Arnold City,died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, June 12,1957,about 3 1/2 hours after she was struck by a neighbor's car near her home. The blonde-haired tot was injured about 3 p.m. when she dashed from behind a road repair machine into the path of a car driven by William Dews,65,who lives less than 100 feet from the Moran home. Charmaine,the only child of Mr.and Mrs. Lawrence Moran, was rushed to the hospital suffering from shock, internal injuries and abrasions. Besides her parents,Charmaine is survived by her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Hawks,with whom the Morans made their home,and paternal grandparents,Mr. and Mrs. Michael Moran,of R.D.1, West Newton. Friends are being received at the McCrory Funeral Home in Fayette City,where services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m.  The Rev. George Guest, pastor of Marion Presbyterian Church,will officiate.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
