Obituary

Charles Wlaker Wade,68,of 1019 Morgan Ave.,Monessen,died Monday, September 17,1962,at 1:30 p.m. in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital.  He was born in Campbell County, Naruna, Va.,on April 5,1894. A resident of Monessen for the past 37 years,Mr. Wade was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Monessen.  He was a retired employee of the nail mill of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Luther (Georgia) Cromerdie and Mrs. Walter (Avel) Wilcox of Monessen,Mrs. Duke (Georgetta) Lyons of New York City, Mrs. Arthur (Norma) Carter of East Orange,N.J.,Mrs. James (Darlena) Stone of Montclair,N.J. and Mrs. Eziekel (Eleanor) Johnson of Warren,Ohio,two sons, Elder Maurice and James Wade of Monessen,one step-son,John Bright Sr. of Monessen,one sister,Mrs. Grace Henderson of Columbus, Ohio,two brothers, Walter and Clarence Wade of Naruna,Va.,fifty grandchildren,ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Friends are being received at the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,Monessen,during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Funeral services Thursday,September 20,at 11 a.m. in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church,Monessen,in charge of the Rev. E. Archie,pastor,  Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Beverly C. Draper, funeral director.
