Charles W. Fleming; 89; of 224
Donner Ave.; Monessen; died Monday;Sept.23;1963;at 8:20 p.m. after a short
illness.
Born in Clymer; Pa.; Mr. Fleming had been a Monessen resident
for over 50 years. At one time
he operated a garage and blacksmith
shop at 145 Donner Ave. In
later years he was employed at
the Page Division of American
Chain and Cable Co. until retirement
in 1947.
He was a member of the First
Methodist Church of Monessen.
Preceding him in death were
his wife; Mary Wood Fleming;
in 1926; and two sons; Early W.
and Kenneth C. Fleming.
Surviving are one daughter;
Mrs. Cornelius (Mary) Stevenson
of Monessen; one brother; Blair
of Rossonier; Pa.; three grandchildren
and ten great-grandchildren. Friends are being received at the H.Denver Rhome Funeral Home in Monessen after 3 p.m.on Wednesday. Services will take place on Thursday;Sept.26;at 2 p.m.in the funeral home;in charge of the Rev.Jackson A.Gabany;pastor of the First Methodist Church of Monessen. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery. H.Denver Rhome;funeral director.
