Charles W. Bobbs, Jr., 81, of 804 Washington Rd.,Belle Vernon,died Tuesday March 23,1999 at 7:20 p.m. in Jefferson Hospital. Born Nov. 11,1917 in Vanderbilt,he was a son of the late Charles W.,Sr. and catherine Volski Bobbs. A resident of Washington Twp. the past 50 years Mr. Bobbs was a member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church. He was a U.S.Navy veteran of World War II. A retired watchmaker,Mr. Bobbs had been employed by the Winners Jewelry Store in Brownsville. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Evelyn E. Bellan Bobbs; one son,Randall K. Bobbs of Belle Vernon; one daughter, Kathleen Naylor of Rostraver Twp.; two brothers, Al Bobbs of Ohio and David Bobbs of Michigan;one sister, Marguerite Harshman; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Bobbs. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. Parzynski Funeral Home Inc.,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Donald Chudd of Lynnwood Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
