Charles V.Barthe;61;of 531 Conrad avenue;North Charleroi;died Monday September 29;1958;at 10:25 a.m.in the Monongahela Memorial hospital;following an illness of three weeks. He was born July 17;1897;in France;and had been a resident of North Charleroi for thirty-three years. He was a locomotive engineer for the P.and L.E.Railroad;and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Engineers. He is survived by his wife;Augustine Castanier Barthe;two sons;Charles of Alexandria;Henry P.of North Charleroi;one daughter;Mrs.Norva Barthe Jacobs of Clairton;and two brothers in France. Friends will be received at the Harold L.Schrock Funeral Home;226 Fallowfield avenue;Charleroi;after 7 o’clock tonight. Services will be held there Thursday;October 2;1958;at 2 p.m.;in charge of Rev.C.J.Patterson. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon cemetery.
