Obituary

Charles R.Cook,64,of House 15,Pricedale,died in Veterans Administration Hospital in Pittsburgh,on Saturday,July 19,1958,at 7 a.m. He was born in Blockton,Ala.,on July 4,1894. A retired coal-miner,he was a veteran of World War I,a member of American Legion Post 695,Ford Post,Monessen,and the F and AM Lodge 79,of Monessen. He is survived by his wife,Lucy Clemons Cook,six sons,Charles R.Cook,Jr.,Gary,Galeon,Gaylord,Donald and Ralph,all at home,four daughters,Frances,Gale,Norma Jean,and Audrey,at home,three stepsons,Fred Johnson of Lorraine,Ohio,Kenneth Johnson of Monessen and Marvin Johnson of Pricedale,a step-daughter,Shirley Ann Johnson,at home,and nine step-grandchildren. Friends are being received at his home until services are held there on Tuesday,July 22,at 2 p.m. Rev.A.C.Morris,of Antioch Baptist Church in Belle Vernon officiating with interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. George M.McCrory and Son are funeral directors.
