Obituary

Charles R.Stark of 336 Speer St.,Belle Vernon,died Monday,Dec.7,1981,in Mon Valley Hospital. He was 65. Mr.Stark was born Dec.3.1916 in Belle Vernon,a son of George and Elizabeth Stewart Stark. He retired this year as an engineer for Monessen-Southwestern Railway at the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. Mr.Stark was a member of United Transporation Union (engineers) Local 1643,the Bethany Bible Fellowship,Belle Vernon,and the Belle Vernon F & AM Lodge 643. He was preceded in death by a brother,Clifford Stark,on Sept.20,1981. Survivors include his widow,Eleaner L.Gillingham Stark,his stepmother,Anna Stark of Belle Vernon,one daughter,Mrs.Bill (Donna) Vandivner of Belle Vernon,two half-brothers,Jay Stark of Belle Vernon and George Stark of Monessen,two sisters,Mrs.Ruppert Marshall and Mrs.Hugh Nehi,both of Monessen,two grandsons,William C.and Bobby Ray Vandivner,both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon from 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Wednesday. Services will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.William Jamison of the Bethany Bible Fellowship,Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Masonic services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. United Transporation Union Local 1643 (engineers) services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 8 p.m. The Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
