Charles L. Dago Ambrose; 63; of 520 McKean Ave.; Charleroi; died Thursday; Nov. 15; 2001; at 9:55 a.m. at his residence. Born March 16; 1938; in Fairhope; he was a son of the late Charles Ambrose; and Rose Karelli Ambrose who survives and resides in Florida. Mr. Ambrose was a resident of Charleroi and was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Allenport plant; where he worked as a machinist. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Vietnam War; a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659; the Masonic Lodge; Syria Temple; Tall Cedars of Lebanon; Pittsburgh Consistory and Retired Employees of Allenport Plant (REAP). In addition to his mother; he is survived by his wife; Marla Thur Ambrose of Charleroi; a son and daughter-in-law; Lawrence A. and Sherri Ambrose of Ellsworth; two daughters and a son-in-law; Kristen L. Ambrose of Charleroi and Tracy L. and Jason Gerard of Peters Township; a sister and brother-in-law; Betty Ann and Duane Lowe of Florida; and five grandchildren; Hailey L. and Torre L. Remish; Jacob A.; Grant E. and Trent A. Gerard. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by a grandson; Joshua Evan Gerard. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. Services will be held Saturday in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Belle Vernon American Legion will hold services Friday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
