Charles L. Shepler,47,of 410 Perry Ave. (Fairhope) Belle Vernon,died suddenly Tuesday,Dec.19,1989 at 2:31 a.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Nov.12,1942,in North Charleroi,a son of the late William Shepler and Lois Haley Parke,who survives and resides in Elco. Mr. Shepler was a member of the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church of Fayette City. He had lived in Fairhope for the last 28 years,and formerly had been a resident of Belle Vernon. He was employed as an estimator for Frank Irey Co.,Inc.of Monongahela. In addition to his mother,he is survived by his wife,Mary Lou Krivda Shepler;two sons,Kenneth L.and his wife,Lori L.Shepler of Fayette City and Mark E. Shepler,at home;and a brother,William Shepler of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayer service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 10:15 a.m.followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. from the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church of Fayette City,with Rev.Thomas G. Rinn officiating. The Washington Township Fire Department will pay their respects Wednesday at 8 p.m. Parish Rosary will be prayed Thursday at 3 p.m. Interment will be held in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
