Charles L. Miller,69,of Fayette City died Monday,May 18,1987 at 1:25 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Washington Township,April 15,1918, a son of the late Walter S. and Mary Rhoe Miller. He was a member of the First Christian Church,Fayette City. He was a deacon emeritus of the church. He was a member and past master of the Gummert Lodge #252, F&AM,Fayette City. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport Plant. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Rallph Miller in 1962. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Armstrong Miller; one son,Aland Miller of Niles, Ohio;ond daughter, Connie Theakston of Fayette City R.D.1; seven grandchildren;five great-grandchildren;one brother,Eugene Miller of Fayette City;and one sister, Mrs. Chris (Doris) Malone of Belle Vernon R.D.3. Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday until 1 p.m.,when services will be held with the Rev. Wayne Boring,pastor of the First Christian Church,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Gummert Lodge #252,F&AM,Fayette City,will hold services Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
