Charles Jackson of Lockview died in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital,Wednesday, May 5,1948,at 5:45 a.m. He is survived by eight children,seven step-children,four brothers,four sisters,seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, A former pastor of the Mt.Zion Baptist Church of Sale City,Georgia for eight years,and a pastor of the New Hope Baptist Church at Davison City,Georgia,he was a resident of Lockview for twenty-eight years,and was a member of the Mt.Sinai Baptist Church there. Friends will be received at his late home. Services will be held at the Mt.Sinai Baptist Church,Saturday,May 8,1948,at 1 p.m.,with Rev.P.L.Green officiating,and Rev.M.B.Myers of Columbus,Ohio,assisting. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Edith M.Whitaker is the funeral director.
