Charles H.Brandes,aged 76 years,died Monday,December 27,1943 in the Connellsville hospital. A retired employee of Pittsburgh Steel company,he formerly resided at 173 Schoonmaker avenue,and for the past three years made his home with a sister,Mrs.Nettie Myers of near Somerset. Surviving are his sister,Mrs.Myers,and another sister,Mrs.Thomas Cooper of Monessen. Friends are being received at the Woodward Home for Funerals where services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev.J.E.Fosnight. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
