Charles W. “Chuck” Harvey, 94, of Rostraver, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 in his home. The son of the late John W. and Wilma Esther Harvey, he was born in Pricedale on July 17, 1931.
Chuck joined the U.S. Army after graduating from Rostraver High School and went to Fort Dix in N.J. and from there to Germany. Three years after returning, he married Lucille A. Wilson Harvey. For 63 years, Chuck worked at America Chain and Cable and U.S. Steel Clairton Works as a motor inspector in the electrical department. Chuck was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon and the American Legion Post 659.
Survivors include two sisters, Pearl Lyons of Monessen and Joyce Howard of Ohio, nieces and nephews, Edward and Michelle Lyons, Jr., Greg and Valerie Lyons, Patty Lyons, Ronald Clawson, John and JoAnn Harvey, and Brian Howard and his sister, LeAnn, and caregivers, Chemen Callaway and Amy Lewendowski. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Lucille, who died December 28, 2016, a sister, Donna Metts, a brother, William E. Harvey, a brother-in-law, Ed Lyons, Sr., and a nephew, George Lyons.
Friends will be received on Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 4 to 7 P.M. in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. 724-929-5300. www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com. A funeral service will be in the funeral home on Friday, March 27, 2026 at 10 A.M. with Rev. Dr. Richard Sweeney officiating. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The officers and members of the First Presbyterian Church will meet in the funeral home on Thursday at 6:30 P.M.
