Obituary

Charles H.Hewitt Sr.,of 406 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,died suddenly at his home Monday, November 5,1962,at 6:30 A.M. He was a member of the First Presbyterain Church of Belle Vernon, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Fireman and Engineermen,and the Pricedale Men's Fellowship. Surviving are his widow,Margaret Sims Hewitt, three daughters,Mrs.James (Lavinia) McClain,Mrs.William (Zeta) Morgan,both of Belle Vernon,and Penny at home,three sons, Charles H. Jr. of Fairless Hills,Pa.,Ensign John F. at Annapolis,Md. and Thomas J.at home,eight grandchildren,five sisters,Mrs.Mary Gajdos of Ravenna,Ohio,Mrs.Elsie Haskill of Washburn,ME.,Mrs.Lenora Mulholland,Mrs.Emma Warren and Louella Hewitt,all of Southern Pines,N.C. Friends will be received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home in Belle Vernon after 1 P.M. Tuesday,where services will take place on Thursday,Nov. 8,at 2 p.m. in charge of Dr. S. Arthur Talman,pastor of the Belle Vernon First Presbyterain Church. Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Harold R. Toner,funeral director.
