Charles H.Roe of 412 Forest St.;Monessen;died Friday;April 25;1986;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp.;after a lingering illness. He was 77. Mr.Roe was born Aug.16;1908;in Brooklyn;N.Y.;a son of the late Charles and Olga Roe. He was a retired steelworker;having been employed in the Shipping Department of the Monessen Works of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. Mr.Roe was a member of St.Luke Lutheran Church and the VFW Post;both of Monessen. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. A brother;John Roe;is deceased. Surviving are his wife;Willa Roe;two sisters;Mrs.Harry (Eva) Rose of Veneta;N.Y.;and Mrs.Robert (Gertrude) Potts of Belle Vernon;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen. Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m.in the chapel of the funeral home;with Pastor Charles L.Barber officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon;Pa.
