Obituary

Charles G. Houseman of Kittanning, died in the Charlcrol-Monessen hospital, Thursday June 9, 1949, at 1 a. m. Mr. Houseman and his wife had coma to Maple View to the home of their son, F. Warren Houseman, to attend Commencement exercises of Charleroi high school, their grandson, Warren, being a member of the graduation class. On Thursday afternoon he suffered a heart attack and was taken to the hospital. He was born October 9, 1891, and was a former Belle Vernon merchant, having operated a hardware store there for several years. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Houseman, one son, F. Warren Houseman of Maple View, and his grandson.  Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home.  Services will be held there Saturday,June 11,1949,at 2:30 p.m.,in charge of Rev.K.Warriston McCracken.  Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
