Charles Fonville,99,of 2820 Sebolt Road, Library,died Saturday,June 16,1990,in Jefferson Hospital. A former resident of Kingston, S.C.,Mr. Fonville had operated a vending machine business that extended into the Mid-Mon Valley. He was a retired coal miner and former owner of Sebolt Cafe. A lifelong member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Library,he was also a member of C.T. Hamilton Lodge 47,F&AM,and IBPO Elks Lodge 189,both of Canonsburg. Mr. Fonville was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Smith Fonville,and by a son,Jesse Fonville. Survivors include the followiing close friends,Maria Bonani Chardella, Sergio Bonani,Jamie and Mario;three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church,Mountain Road, Library, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. C.H. Byars officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Percy E. Law Jr. Funeral Home,Donora, is in charge of arrangements.
