Charles E. Brownlee; 87; of Belle Vernon; passed away Sunday; November 7; 2010 in Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late Harold and Ruby Dittman Brownlee; he was born in Washington; PA on February 11; 1923. Formerly of Whitehall; he had resided in Belle Vernon since 1970. Charles was a member of the Charleroi Elks; retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company in 1986 and was a veteran of World War II; having served in the U. S. Army Air Corps. Survivors include his wife of 34 years; Maxine Brownlee; one daughter and son-in-law; Patricia and Robert Pooley of Coshocton; OH; one son and daughter-in-law; Charles ‘Chaz’ and Rene Brownlee of Belle Vernon; one brother; Robert Brownlee of Houston; TX and two grandchildren; Erin Moore; and her husband; Kent; of Louisville; Ky and James Pooley of Irvine; CA. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his 1st wife; Frances Feeney Brownlee in 1959; one sister; Jean Brownlee and two brothers; John and Jim Brownlee.
