Charles E. Book; 63; of Fayette City (Jefferson Township); passed away on his 43rd Wedding Anniversary; Thursday; June 2; 2005 in Mon Valley Hospital Inc. He was born Dec. 24; 1941 in Fayette City; the son of Virginia Owens Book; who survives and resides in LaFayette; Ind.; and the late Millard F. Book. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps; a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Belle Vernon and employed as a truck driver for Gavco Industries. In addition to his mother; he is survived by his wife of 43 years; Margaret Davies Book; two sons; Charles D. Book of Belle Vernon (Fairhope) and Ryan S. Book and wife Carolyn of Nashville; Tenn.; a daughter; Penny L. Walters and husband Robert of Monongahela; three sisters; Eleanor White of Fayette City; Mildred Cowger of Fairport Harbor; Ohio; and Tammy Littleton of LaFayette; Ind.; six grandchildren; Nicole Bankston; Natasha; Jennifer and C.J. Book; and Robert and William Walters. Friends will be received in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.; Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.; and Monday; June 6 until 11 a.m. when a Blessing Service will take place with the Rev. Fr. John Kluchko officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parastas Service will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
