C.Dewey Simons, 95,died Thursday, May 27,1993,in Colonial Meadows,Fallwowfield Township. He was born May 4,1898,in Lone Pine, a son of the late Isaac D. and Sarah Jane Rasel Simons, Mr Simons was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Charleroi. He was a life member of BPOE Lodge 494 and a former member of F&AM Lodge 615,both of Charleroi. A U.S.Army veteran of World War I,he was a retired auto mechanic having worked in the Charleroi and Washington areas. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Guder Simons on Dec. 24,1986; a son,Captain Richard Simons and three sisters, Mina Bromley, Maude Hootman and Nelle Marshall. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc.,226 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Hammett of the First United Methodist Church of Charleroi,officiating. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
