Charles D.Couser of Webster died Tuesday;Sept.17;1985;at Jefferson Hospital. He was 76. Born in Braddock;March 26;1909;he was a son of the late Arch and Mary Couser. Mr.Couser was a Protestant by faith. He retired from the former U.S.Steel Works in Donora. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a daughter;Barbara Tomcanin in 1975. He married the former Harriett Staff;who survives;on June 28;1930;and the couple recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. In addition to his wife;he is survived by a son;Barry Couser of Webster;a sister;Mrs.Helen Thomson of Wayne;Mich;10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the James C.Stump Funeral Home;Rostraver Township;where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev.Kent Lighthall officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The James C.Stump Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
