Charles Corwin Rettstatt,aged 67 years, died Tuesday morning, Feb.12,1957,at 4:40 a.m. at the home of his daughter,Mrs. Franklin (Elma) Garee,R.D.1,Fayette City. The deceased was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge of Beallsville, and the Uniontown Lodge of Beallsville,and the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection. He was employed at the Vesta Coal Mine No.5 for 36 years. He was born in Elizabeth on Oct. 16,1888. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Emily Bayley Rettstatt;his daughter, Mrs. Garee;three brothers, Henry,of Tampa,Fla.,Dale,of Brownsville and Karl,of Compton,Cal,;a sister,Mrs. Alex Brewer,also of Tampa and two grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Ferguson Funeral Home,Broad avenue,Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the funeral home,with the Rev. Howard Ryall of Brownsville,officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D. Ferguson,funeral director.
