Obituary

The body of a man fatally injured when struck by a car on the Monessen-Webster road on Friday night, November 9,1945,was identified on Saturday as that of Charles Corbish,68,of Pricedale. According to State Police,Mr. Corbish was struck by a car operated by Mike Bozik,29,of Webster,while crossing the highway about a mile from Monessen.  The injured man was removed to the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital where he died a half hour after admittance of a fractued skull. He died at 11:50 p.m.  The victim was not identified until Saturday night. The body was then removed to the Slezak Funeral Home in Charleroi from where he was taken to his home in Pricedale.  The deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs. Hazel Corbish,and seven children;Mrs. Anna Vitz,at home,Mrs. Mary Dunlap of Faibanks,John Corbish of Detroit,Mich.,Mrs. Florence Forsythe of Pricedale,Mrs. Helen Onofrey of Monessen and Eva and Nicholas at home.  Five grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held from the late home at 3 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Gregory Soroka,of Charleroi,officiating.  Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
