Obituary

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon,December 27,1937,at 2:30 for Charles Cooper,six year old son of Mr.and Mrs.,John Cooper of Ridge Road,Belle Vernon,who died a few hours after being admitted to the Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh,followed by injuries sustained when he was caught in an elevator shaft in Kaufman's Department Store in Pittsburgh on December 24,while going to visit Santa. The body was prepared at the Melenyzer-Toner Funeral Home for burial. Surviving the deceased are his parents,Mr.and Mrs.John Cooper,three sisters,Kathryn,Rose and Gail,and one brother,Jack,all at home. Charles was a student of the first grade of LaGrange school,and a member of the Rehoboth Presbyterian Sunday School. Services were held from the late home on Ridge Road,and were in charge of Rev.S.Gaffney,pastor of the Rehoboth Church. Interment followed in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
