Obituary

Charles Carini,93,of 10 Sampson St.,Belle Vernon,died Tuesday,April 17,1990,at 5:50 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital,Inc.,Carroll Township. Born Aug.22,1896,in Belle Vernon,he was the son of the late Francesco and Rosa Vannucci Carini. Mr.Carini lived most of his life on the Belle Vernon area,and was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. A U.S.Army veteran of World War I,he served with the Army Band and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a life member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 2788. He was former director of the Belle Vernon Musical Society Band. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by six brothers,Mario,Joseph,Nello,Vincent,Deno and Peter Carini. He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 2788 will conduct services in the funeral home at 7 p.m.Thursday. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
