Obituary

An elderly Charleroi R.D.1 man, whose family said he had been despondent lately, died Monday,Feb. 22,1965,as a result of a self-inflicted wound from a 16-gauge shotgun.  The body of Charles C. Spadafore,74,was discovered at 10:50 a.m. in the bathroom of his home by members of his family. Born Sept. 18,1890,in Belle Vernon and son of the late Joseph and Angelina Spadafore,the deceased was a retired truck farmer and had lived all of his life in this vicinity. Surviving are his widow, Marie Santini Spadafore;two sons, Richard and Joseph of Charleroi;two daughters, Mrs. Louis (Angelina) Chilzer of Pleasant Hills and Armida Spadafore of Chicago, Ill.; two brothers, Alfred of Charleroi and Frank of New Mexico; a sister, Mrs. Charles Venneri of Belle Vernon and six grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Francis C. Slezak Funeral Home,Charleroi,where services will be held Thursday, Feb. 25,at 11 a.m.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Francis C. Slezak is the funeral director.
