Charles Smith Sr.,of 1102 Graham St.,Belle Vernon,died in the Brownsville General Hospital,Monday Dec. 24,1962 at 10 p.m. He was a retired coal miner. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Sophia Smith, one son, Charles,Jr. of Belle Vernon,three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Clara) Scotch of California,Pa.,Mrs. Michael (Frances) Gula and Mrs. Nicholas (Margaret) Medica of Pittsburgh, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,during hours of 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Friday, Dec. 28,1962,at 10 a.m.,in charge of Dr. S. Talman,pastor of the Belle Vernon Presbyterian Church. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner,Belle Vernon, is the funeral director.
