Obituary

Charles Burns Wadsworth,a resident of Monessen for many years,died Sunday,June 4,1944,at his home, 402 Donner avenue,of complications.  He was a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge and was the oldest member of the Monessen Volunteer Fire department.  He was one of the first newies on the Daily Independent.  Surviving are his wife,Mrs. Rose Wadsworth,two sisters,Mrs. Elmer Hall,Weirton,W.Va.,and Mrs. James Shank,Charleston,W.Va.,and a brother,J.K.Wadsworth of McKeesport. Friends are being received at the Woodward Home for Funerals where services will be held Tuesday,June 6 at 2 p.m.,with Rev. Ted V. Noorhees,of the Methodist Church,officiating.  Interment,Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Dave H. Woodward,funeral director,in charge.
