Obituary

Charles B.(Beans) Davis,52,of 112 Perry Ave.,Belle Vernon (Fairhope),died Monday,July 5,1976,at 3 a.m.in Oakland Veterans Administration Hospital,Pittsburgh,after a lengthy illness. He was born in Washington Twp.,Fayette County,on Nov.14,1923. Mr.Davis attended the Marion United Presbyterian Church,was past president of Fairhope Rod and Gun Club,was past president of Bricklayers Local No.2 of Charleroi,was a member of the Brightwell-Daugherty Post 484 of the American legion in Fayette City,a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3557 of Fairhope,a World War II Naval Veteran and Recipient of the Purple Heart Award and was employed as a field superintendent for Furnco Construction Company of Buffalo,N.Y. He is survived by his widow,Billie Hott Davis,two sons,Gregory Davis of Pittsburgh and Randy Davis of Castle Shannon,one grandson,Jason Davis of Fayette City,his mother,Mrs.Alice Davis of Belle Vernon,three brothers,Thomas Davis of Fayette City,James Davis of Belle Vernon R.D.1,and Lawrence Davis of Belle Vernon R.D.3,four sisters,Mrs.Marion (Mary) DeRienzo of Fayette City,Mrs.William (Jane) White of Fairport Harbor,Ohio,Mrs.Webb (Nancy) Patridge of Delaware,Ohio,and Mrs.John (Jeraldine) Nusser of Belle Vernon (Fairhope),and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,after 3 p.m.Tuesday,July 6,1976. Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday,July 7,1976 at 1 p.m.,with the Rev.Robert H.R.Loughborough Jr.of Marion United Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home in charge.
