Charles Benton Grant, 59,died Sunday night,February 9, 1947, at 10:45 p.m. at his home at Allison. He was formerly of Fairhope. He was born in Black Diamond on May 21,1888. He leaves his widow, Anna;one son,Charles Jr. at home; daughters, Mrs. Mary Shaneyfelt of Greensburg and Georgetta Wilder at home;two brothers, Uray of Republic and Joseph of Fairhope and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Spiker of Fairhope. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the home of Mrs. Spiker at Fairhope. Burial will be made in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
