Obituary

Charles A. Goslyne,prominent Belle Vernon resident and well known in the Charleroi section,died in the Torrance State Hospital,Tuesday morning,March 8,1938 at 8 o'clock,where he had been a patient for the past week.  Mr. Goslyne,whose wife,the late Mrs. Lena Goslyne,died about five years ago,had been in declining health for many months.  His condition became more serious a week ago and he was removed to the hospital,where attempts to strengthen his weakened condition proved futile and ended with his passing Tuesday morning.  Mr. Goslyne for many years was an elder of the board of the Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon.  He resided with a son,Donald Goslyne at 626 Henry street, Belle Vernon,who survives with two grandchildren.  Owing to the illness of Mrs. Donald Goslyne,the remains are resting in the Melenyzer-Toner Funeral home,where services will be held Friday,March 11 at 2 p.m. in charge of the Reverend Edward G. Sloan,pastor of the First Presbyterian Church.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
