Chandes Roy Knox;formerly of Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;July 10;1984;at 2:55 a.m.in Torrence State Hospital.  He was 79.  Born Jan.12;1905 in Monessen;he was a son of the late Tilman Wesley and Nora Ann Nedrow Knox.  He was preceded in death by his wife;June Knox;and two brothers;Jacob and John Knox. Surviving is a sister;Josephine K.Bergstedt of Millersville;Md.  Mr.Knox was a lifelong resident of the Mon Valley.  He was a Protestant.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m.with Rev.Thomas St.Clair;pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating.  Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
