A retired brick mason;he was a member of the Methodist Church of Fairmont;W.Va.;and Wheeling (W.VA.) F.O.E.Aeric 344. He was preceded in death by his wife;Julia Valent Bowlen;and a son;William Bowlen. Survivors include one step-daughter;Mrs.John (Philomena) Tillman of Charleroi;and two grandchildren;Tracy and Neil Bowlen;both of New york. Friends are being received in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home;Inc.;226 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.Wednesday;when services will be held in the funeral home.
