A daughter of the late George and Mary Kuruc Shuma;she was born Feb.17;1923;in Monessen. She was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law;Ernest and Janelle Halgas of Monessen and Lawrence and Joan Halgas of Lebanon;and a granddaughter;Amanda Halgas. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Ernest S.Halgas;in 1985;four brothers;John;Edward;Paul and Alex Shuma;and five sisters;Pauline Shuma;Margaret Tomayko;Helen Polkabla;Elizabeth Shlanta and Mary Fertal. Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.;a Golden Rule Member Firm.700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 11:30 a.m.;followed by funeral Mass in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;with Father John Cindric as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
