Catherine May,45,of 913 Schoonmaker Ave.,Monessen,died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital,Monday Feb. 17,1969 at 8:45 p.m.,following a brief illness. She was born in Dossville,Miss.,Dec. 3,1923,and had resided in Monessen since 1954. She was a member of the Union Baptist Church of Monessen. Survivors are her father, Willie May of Blythesville,Ark.;three sisters, Mrs. Verline Jones of Monessen,Mrs. Inez Dews and Annie Ruth May of New York City; five brothers, S.L. May and Junior of Toledo, Ohio,Ollie of Los Angeles, Calif.,James of Gary Ind. and Oliver of Monessen. Friends will be received at the Draper Funeral Home,Monessen,after 2 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Friday,Feb. 21,at 11 a.m.,in the Union Baptist Church,Monessen,in charge of the Rev. Clyde A. Raision. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Beverly C. Draper of Monessen is the funeral director.
